Interesting reads I've had recently - learnt a lot
and it is quite frightening how wrong official advice is
I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately and it’s not been normal run of the mill fiction but medical stuff for various reasons I won’t go into here.
The books are:
The Obesity Epidemic by Dr Zoe Harcombe - at last work medical I’ve lost 13 kg in 12 months half-heartedly following what I found out in here.
Must try harder as about 20 kg still to shed to get close to fighting trim again. Gone from trousers and shorts being a tight 42” to a snug 38” waist, belt has been brought in 2” and needs a new hole put in it and guys who hadn’t seen me for a while said “you no longer look barrel shaped” which I took for a compliment.
It was also really shocking the information she has uncovered.
Very enlightening about the benefits of eating a salad with a vinegar based dressing before a meal. There is a very good reason and answered one thing I always wanted to know and that was why when in the USA is a big salad covered in a dressing always served at the beginning of the meal.
One question begs an answer though - how did our grandparents, great grandparents etc know how to eat healthy without all the scientific tests, knowledge and so on we have now?
No “experts”, no pharmaceutical companies maximising profits and so on and just direct observation is my surmise.
Doctoring Data by Dr Malcolm McKendrick - absolutely shocking what he writes about, too much to cover here but I recommend you read it for yourself as it explains a lot of what is going on in the medical industry in the past 50+ years.
The Clot Thickens by Dr Malcolm McKendrick - halfway through this and it’s mindboggling “experts in their field” can be so blinkered, stupid and unwilling to even question slightly orthodox “thinking” without question.
The Great Cholesterol Con by Dr Malcolm McKendrick - a real eye-opener. Amazing and when I thought about it the link between Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Nitrous Oxide on cardiovascular health is obvious now I’ve seen it written down and explained.
The questions then are why the continuous scare stories about “sun bad, slap on thick high SPF protection at all times” and is the continuous rise in cardiovascular disease a direct consequence of this advice?
All I can come up with is yes the 2 are linked and it’s to keep everyone ill.
Your thoughts?

It was learning about the cholesterol con that started my awakening all those years ago.
